The big day for all cricket lovers is here. MS Dhoni is going to get married today with Sakshi Singh Rawat today, Sunday July 4, 2010. Dhoni surprised everyone by getting engaged yesterday to Sakshi Rawat in Dehradun. Dhoni’s marriage will be held today at a farmhouse, Vishranti resort which is about 40 km from Dehradun.
Dhoni got engaged to Sakshi, a hotel management student at Hotel Competent yesterday which was attended by family members and some close friends of Dhoni and Sakshi. Dhoni’s marriage is also expected to be a close private affair with only close family members and friends, which will include teammates harbhajan Singh, Ashish Nehra and a few more. John Abraham and BCCI president, Shashank Manohar are also in the guests list and will be attending Dhoni’s wedding.
Dhoni and Sakshi Rawat, who is from Aurangabad had been school friends at DAV, Shamily in Ranchi. Their fathers worked together in MECON and the Rawats moved to Dehradun after retirement.
Dhoni is been showered with best wishes on social networking sites. Bipasha has posted tweet for Dhoni,”Wishing mahi and sakshi a very happy life together forever:)sad that I cnt be there!”
Shilpa Shetty has also posted Tweet for Dhoni wedding, “Congratulations in order to Mahi and Sakshi,wishing them all the happiness and marital bliss forever..”

But its surprising that even after knowing the venue of Dhoni’s marriage our paparazzi were not able to click Ms Dhoni’s marriage and wedding pictures with Sakshi Rawat. Even the marriage pictures of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai were covered somehow but not Dhoni and Sakshi Rawat’s marriage.
MS Dhoni and Sakshi Singh Rawat got engaged at Hotel Competant in Dehradun on Saturday and their marraige took place the next day at Vishranti Resort, near Dehradun. Vishranti Resort is owned by Raje and many high profile guests attended Dhoni’s marriage.
Sakshi, a hotel management graduate and Dhoni had been knowing each other since their school days. Their fathers also worked together in Ranchi and both the families were quite close since then.
Dhoni’s wedding was attended by high profile guests like ICC chief Sharad Pawar, BCCI President Shashank Manohar, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Actor John Abraham, Director Farah Khan and cricketers R.P.Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Ashish Nehra and Suresh Raina.
More than 100 poilcemen were posted at the gates of Vishranti Resort to ensure that only cars whose numbers were already given were allowed to enter.
It is believed that the recception will be held in Mumbai on July 7, Dhoni’s Birthday.
